TOUCH - Singapore
Cross-sectional projects of Grades 6-10
TOUCH Community Services is a charity officially registered in 1992 in Singapore. Their beneficiaries include children from low-income and single-parent families, youths-at-risk, needy families, people with healthcare and special needs, and the frail elderly.
Grade 6 had a talk from TOUCH about what it’s like for the elderly and for young disadvantaged children in Singapore. As a result, they fundraised for TOUCH with a bake sale at the start of the year.
In January, Grade 8 students worked with TOUCH to paint plant pots with the elderly as a gift for Chinese New Year. They also invited them back to GESS for an afternoon of games and tea.
